All of the exhausting hiking had paid off. Priscilla felt her eyes relax as they took in all the natural beauty. This is what I left the city for, she thought. But she knew she had a long journey ahead. Scaling the mountains would be no easy feat. I’ve trained for this, she thought. All those hours at the gym, walking up the 12 floors of steps to work each day—I must be ready. But doubt started to creep in. Maybe I should just turn back now. I’m not cut out for this. As her mind swirled with negative thoughts, she felt her legs moving beneath her, as if her body had a mind of its own.
